Registration is Open for this year’s Municipal Agriculture Economic Development and Planning Forum on October 17 to 19 in the City of Temiskaming Shores.
The theme of the forum is “Connect, Collaborate, Cultivate Agriculture Across Ontario.”
The event will kick off on the Tuesday with a networking evening, an informal drop-in with local food samplings. You will have the opportunity to meet with other participants while enjoying a taste of the region.
On the Wednesday, we will have a full day bus tour to visit leading farm and food businesses in Temiskaming District. You will have the opportunity to see for yourself great examples of agriculture development in Northern Ontario.
The Thursday will be the conference part of the Forum. We have a great lineup of speakers to address topics including economic contribution of Agriculture in Northern Ontario, asset mapping, indigenous agriculture, rural planning, building food supply and value-chains, and sustainability.
Until October 1, there is an early registration rate of $250 for the full event, $125 for the bus tour only and $150 for the conference only.
