The Ontario East Economic Development Commission (Ontario East) was established over 30 years ago as a non-profit regional marketing agency with a mandate to develop, implement and administer programs to attract new investment and jobs to its diverse group of communities. With a focus on investment attraction, Ontario East also offers professional development opportunities and delivers programs to enhance the region’s competitiveness. 

WHERE

Ontario East membership comprises over 140 professional economic developers and associated organizations, government officials and businesses representing cities, towns and regions in eastern Ontario, east of the Greater Toronto Area in the west, along the Highway 401 corridor to the Quebec border near Montreal and north to Haliburton, Algonquin Park and the Ottawa Valley.

Ontario East exists to leverage and promote the collective strengths of a diverse economic region in the largest province in Canada and offers a skilled workforce, world class educational institutions, access to major markets and competitive operating costs. Ontario East members participate together in promotional campaigns, trade shows, conferences, special events and investment missions throughout the globe to promote the advantages of doing business in eastern Ontario.
