The Township of Cavan Monaghan is seeking Proposals for the sale and re-development of the lands municipally known in the year 2022 as 1066 Syer Line (Part Lot 14, Concession 8 of the Cavan Ward) (the “Property”).
The Property has been owned by the Township since December 2019.
On May 2, 2022, Council adopted Official Plan Amendment No. 10 to designate a portion of the Property “Rural Employment” under the Township’s Official Plan, and passed Zoning By-law No. 2022-25 to rezone a portion of the Property “Rural Employment (M2)” under the Township’s Zoning By-law No. 2018-58.
On May 2, 2022, Council passed Resolution R-2022-176 to declare the Property surplus to the needs of the Township and authorizing the disposition of the Property.
The primary objective of this RFP is to secure the sale, disposal and redevelopment of the Property with Rural Employment use(s) in a manner which supports the Township’s long-term economic development, sustainability and environmental goals in its Official Plan, and in accordance with the terms outlined in this RFP.
The successful proponent will be required to enter into an Agreement of Purchase and Sale with the Township in respect of the Property and on the terms and conditions identified in this RFP.
Sealed Proposals plainly marked “RFP-CS-22-01” Sale and Redevelopment of Municipally-owned Lands – 1066 Syer Line” will be received until: 11:00 a.m., Local time, on Friday, July 15, 2022. All submissions for this proposal must be completed electronically, through www.biddingo.com, and also submitted in hardcopy.
