Hastings County's "Opportunities in Tourism" Working Group - or "HOT", has partnered with www.ComfortCountry.ca, to organize and host the first ever "HOTie Awards". They will be handed out at the upcoming Tourism Dinner & Awards Celebration in October to celebrate the tourism season of 2012 and recognize significant achievements made by tourism businesses and organizations within Hastings County.
The “HOTie Awards" were created to give recognition to the tourism businesses, organizations and individuals who have made significant achievements from September 2011 to August 2012.
Categories for awards include:
1) Business of the Year
2) Organization of the Year
3) Festival of the Year
4) Event of the Year
5) Rookie of the Year
6) MVP (Individual) of the Year

A business, organization and/or individual may nominate themselves and/or another business, organization and/ or individual. Nominees must be located within Hastings County, not including Belleville and Quinte West. Each award is based on activities taken place from September 1st, 2011 to August 31, 2012. Nomination forms may include additional materials to support the application (i.e. marketing materials, photos, etc.).

DEADLINE: Applications must be submitted by 4:00pm Wednesday, September 19th, 2012.
Note: Top 3 nominees for each category will be notified by September 28th and winners will be announced at the “Tourism Dinner & Awards Celebration” on October 19th, 2012 at the Trudeau Park & Resort in Tweed. Tickets for the event go on sale October 1st until October 15th.
