Building awareness of the local ag and food sector will support the community in prioritizing agriculture in economic development planning, building sector relationships, harnessing support and establishing a baseline of information against which you can benchmark the impact of future actions.
Data isn’t gathered for the sake of having data. It needs to be put to work! Use data to promote local ag and food, share it with leadership, share it with community, build excitement! Data can inform policy and reinforce with decision makers and community members, the true importance of this sector.
